I now live in NY and work professionally as a model & host.  (SISS)  What was the hardest thing that you had to do in your life (something that you are willing to share) ? What advice would you give someone going through the same struggle? (Monica Barco) I think the hardest thing that I had to do in my life was at the time I took the initiative to leave Colombia for a foreign unknown, leaving my family in Colombia and moving to New York to fulfill my dreams. I do believe people should follow their dreams even if it means being away from your family.  (SISS)  What are you most grateful for?  (Monica Barco) I am very grateful for the supportive and loving family I have. I’m passionate in fulfilling my dreams.  (SISS)  Who was the most influential person in your life? Any mentors? And how influential have they been?  (Monica Barco) I would say my mom and dad are my mentors. They are my example in life. Strong people that raised me and my brothers with great values.  (SISS)  Where were you five years ago? What advice would you tell your five years younger self?  (Monica Barco) I probably was not as focus as I am today. I would tell my younger self that time is precious and it doesn’t come back.  (SISS)  Can you take us through a typical day? From Waking up to going to bed, Can you give us a play by play of a typical day for you?  (Monica Barco) Now I am taking a break from modeling because I started college a year ago. I usually wake up, make breakfast, get ready for the gym and when I come back home I focus on school. I’m studying marketing online.  (SISS)  What's your current vision for your life? And what do you want your legacy to be? (Monica Barco) I’m into fashion, one day I would like to turn my love of fashion into a clothing line and my very own boutique & fragrance.  (SISS)  How did Shark Mind Music begin?  (Monica Barco) It began with my brother’s idea, vision and dream. He is a music producer (MauroDembow). That is how everything started. The studio is located in Cali, Colombia and we have worked with several local and international artists.  (SISS)  How do you feel about “Perception is Reality”? Especially when people see a photo and assume what they want. Does that bother you that people may think less of someone because of the clothes they have on? Do you think women should be mindful of the image that they are portraying?  (Monica Barco) I think elegance is the new sexy. We live in an era where wearing less clothing is supposed to be sexy but I still believe anyone can be sexy and elegant without being too revealing. People should wear what they like, my personal choice is being sexy but elegant.  (SISS)  What is your favorite Food? What is your favorite book?  When do you feel the sexiest? What was the craziest or riskiest thing that you ever did in your life? (Monica Barco)  Favorite food: Italian food Favorite book: I will have to mention two: The Art of Happiness and The four agreements. I feel the most sexiest in my pajamas lol The craziest thing I ever did in my life was skydiving (SISS)  Who in this world right now is a definition of greatness and why? (Monica Barco) I believe every single person that decides to take action in their lives and set their minds into growth, change and evolution are the greatest. (SISS)  Social media question, Facebook, twitter, instagram or snapchat? Which one do you use the most to best market yourself or brand? (Monica Barco) I am a very active social media user, but I will say I like instagram the most. I guess I have the most following and interaction there. (SISS)  Is there someone on social media that inspires you and is a great follow? (Monica Barco) I get inspiration everywhere! My mind is always open for learning experiences. I get inspired by everyone who shows effort, who makes positive changes in their lives, who struggles and overcome their obstacles.
