Via GiaMacool.com (SISS) What was one of the hardest things that you had to go through? (Gia Macool) My fathers sickness and death. He was very much like me and a big strength to me growing up. He suddenly and unexpectedly got sick and within a little as six weeks, he died. I have also lost the rest of my immediate family after his passing. Taking care of him through that hard time taught me a lot about enduring challenges. Challenges that might have broken many. It only made me stronger! (SISS) What advice would you give someone going through the same struggle? (Gia Macool) Keep yourself busy on the positive things. Ignore the inner voices telling you NOT to Keep Going. Those inner voices are worse then those coming from others. Stay focused on your goals for the future. Everyone has their time! Trust in that! (SISS) Tell us more… who is @giamacool and what are you most proud of? (Gia Macool) I’m a free spirit. I believe you must live life through experiences and memories. Know your purpose and don’t allow fear to hold you back from taking chances that are needed to move forward. I have never looked back and regret anything and for that I’m proud! My mindset has helped me find happiness and remain strong. (SISS) Finish this sentence, I have a dream…? (Gia Macool) No... I’m living my dream. (SISS) What makes you the happiest? What is fun for you? (Gia Macool) It makes me happy to know that everything I’ve set my mind to do, I’ve succeeded. Fun?! Fun is doing things a little bit dangerous. As I like adrenaline, Ha! (SISS) How do you deal with disappointment? How do you Keep Going? (Gia Macool) Don’t have expectations in people. People are not SUPER-human. They are human so they make mistakes. You have to go into each situation knowing you did your best, whatever happens after that you must not stress. I keep going because I remember why I started. (SISS) What is your superpower? (Gia Macool) My intuition. My ability to bring smiles to those around me. I’m NOT what many expect. Photos don’t really show the real personality or character of an individual. Those that meet me are pleasantly surprised. (SISS) Finish the sentence, my life has gotten so much better since… ? (Gia Macool) When I stopped caring what everyone expected from me. When I realized you cannot please everyone. (SISS) Can you tell us four things people might not know about you? (Gia Macool) (1) I’m clumsy but graceful. (2) I’m a Perfectionist but chill. (3) I don’t have a shut off button. (4) I’m a singer, writer, artist and also dancer. (SISS) Can you tell us where else can our readers follow your daily inspiration? (Gia Macool) At GiaMacool.com under Blog Tab I do monthly blogs about my experiences in the industry. Check it out! (SISS) Got a Story to Tell? Can you tell us a quick story or moment/night of a relationship experience, a lesson learned? (Gia Macool) After my father died. It taught me to never allow work to consume you. He was a very successful business man. His time off was spent working or helping others. Unfortunately, at the end he never enjoyed all the hard work. I’m a lot like him. I consume myself in work and many times don’t have the time to enjoy relaxing. Lesson learned: find time for YOU and balance work and play. (SISS) What’s your favorite quote? (Gia Macool) I Prefer motivational speaking over simple quotes. I get inspiration listening to a mix of motivational speakers in the gym. (SISS) At Smart is so sexy we love to see women who are thriving in their career or business. What are you most passionate about? (Gia Macool) I love modeling but I have found expressing myself writing has brought me a lot of satisfaction. Being healthy from the inside as well as the outside by educating myself on nutrition and fitness is also a huge love for me. I could go on for days on all the projects I’m involved in but that would be better for a live interview. (SISS) Who was the most influential person in your life and why? (Gia Macool) At this time I really rely on myself to get things done. If I want something accomplished, I know it will only happen if I make it happen. (SISS) Where were you five years ago? What advice would you tell yourself five years ago? (Gia Macool) I used to overthink things a lot. I had less patience as I do now. I would tell myself five years ago that everything will work out the way it’s planned, just to chill out. Ha! (SISS) Can you take us through a typical day? From Waking up to going to bed, Can you give us a play by play of a typical day for you? (Gia Macool) My day begins with coffee and cardio. I answer hundreds of emails. I handle brands online and work obligations many times while doing cardio. I’ll spend a scheduled time period for engaging with my followers as I know this is important to them. Then it’s off to appointments and meetings on projects I’m working on. I also have strength training daily and this is my second visit to the gym during the day. I juggle the normal family responsibilities as well so I’m always switching hats but I love what I do! I would NOT change anything. (SISS) What is your favorite book and/or the latest one you’ve read? (Gia Macool) I rarely have time to read books, but if I’m flying I’ll get a chance to catch up on various blog edits or maybe even get through some ebooks. I like documentary’s presently or real life experiences. I write daily as well, and many of my blogs need to be edited which takes time. (SISS) What would be a good theme song for your life? (Gia Macool) Sia “unstoppable” (SISS) When do you feel the sexiest? (Gia Macool) Sexy is a state of mind. It’s not because you have a particular outfit on or because someone makes you feel that way. It’s something you either possess through your presence or not. It’s in the way you speak, hold yourself, address others, and it’s just who you are. (SISS) Is there someone on social media that inspires you and is a great follow? (Gia Macool) These days social media is saturated with millions of people all trying to do the same thing. There is a saying, “When anyone can do it, everyone will try.” The difference is those who try and those who succeed are two very different things. More people should give credit where credit is due. Follow for the right reasons. Unfortunately many follow for the wrong reasons. Then they wonder why they left disappointed. People should be genuine, nothing more, and nothing less. (SISS) What does Smart is so Sexy mean to you? (Gia Macool) Knowledge is power. Just as beauty is power. The two can work together to create a voice. A voice that can help lift up others, or bring them down. The smart ones know using their quality’s of knowledge and beauty in a positive way, lifts up others and has longevity in a world that at times is lost because many lose hope and belief in themselves. Everyone possesses greatness but not everyone believes in themselves and so they gravitate to those who they feel they can follow. (SISS) Thank you so much Gia for sharing with us, your words are encouraging, inspiring and it tells us a story that many might not know. Keep Going #SISS
