Anastasia Douglas

(SISS)  Hi Anastasia where are you from and where are you currently spending your time?  (Anastasia Douglas)  Hi SISS! I’m part Jamaican- part Russian. I was born in Russia but grew up in Jamaica. I’m currently in Jamaica completing medical school.  (SISS)  What was one of the hardest things that you had to go through? What advice would you give someone going through the same struggle?  (Anastasia Douglas)  The hardest thing for me is mastering my emotions. My last relationship was emotionally overwhelming. I went through a period of questioning everything. I do believe that I feel things deeply. My advice to anyone with the same struggle: Learn to let go and believe that God is working it all out for your own good.  (SISS)  Medical Student, traveler #SISS Tell us more, who is @LoveAnastasia876 and what are you most proud of?  (Anastasia Douglas)  I’m still trying to figure that out. But so far, I know that I’m a very passionate person. I am most proud of my ability to empathize and my ability to bounce back.  (SISS)  One year from now what do you hope to have accomplished (business or personal)?  (Anastasia Douglas)  I’m currently in my final year of Medical school. I do hope that I will be successfully working as a medical intern by this time next year. Also, a Anastasia Douglasproject that I was involved in some years ago is about to go public. It’s a secret for now but it will be revealed soon. So hopefully by next year, I will hear that it was a success. I’m super excited about that. And my personal life….I do hope to be in a relationship that only God can take credit for.  (SISS)  How dedicated are you to fitness?  What is your fitness goal?  On your body, what is your favorite body part and what is your least favorite?  (Anastasia Douglas)  I’m not dedicated to fitness at all. But that will change soon. My goal is to restart the gym within 3 months. I do want to focus on weights. My favorite body part…well parts…my eyes. Wouldn’t say I have a least favourite.  (SISS)  What makes you the happiest? What is fun for you?  (Anastasia Douglas)  I am happiest when I am with my friends and family. Simple things are fun for me. Watching movies, eating ice cream, traveling with family, going on a long drive, preparing for a long weekend with friends, reading, nature and anything that involves animals.  (SISS)  What were your best/worst subjects in school?  (Anastasia Douglas)  Geography was my worst subject in school!!!! It still gives me nightmares. My best subjects were Biology and English Literature.  (SISS)  How do you deal with disappointment? How do you Keep Going?  (Anastasia Douglas)  I must admit that this concept is still new to me. I’ve found solace in trusting God and knowing that he has my back.  (SISS)  What is your superpower?  (Anastasia Douglas)  My ability to be open with people and form deep bonds.  (SISS)  What is your weakness and what do you do to overcome it?  (Anastasia Douglas)  My weakness: Controlling my emotions. Still working on it but I try to overcome it by meditating, talking to friends and taking some well needed space.  (SISS)  Can you tell us four things people might not know about you?  (Anastasia Douglas)  I have a very soft heart.  I LOVE all animals….well most (see point 3).  I have a phobia of cockroaches.  I was a spelling bee champion. ( Well I didn’t win but It was close 😀).  (SISS)  What’s your favorite quote?  (Anastasia Douglas)  “What’s meant to be, will be”  (SISS)  At Smart is so sexy we love to see women who are thriving in their career or business.  What are you most passionate about?  (Anastasia Douglas)  In my career field, I am most passionate about the health of skin. I want to specialize in Dermatology.  (SISS)  Who was the most influential person in your life and why?  (Anastasia Douglas)  My big sister. I talk to her about everything. She’s always Anastasia Douglasopen to listening and giving me well-needed advice.  (SISS)  Where were you five years ago? What advice would you tell your five years younger self?  (Anastasia Douglas)  Five years ago, I completed my 1st degree in Marine Biology and started Medical School that same fall. My advice would be to take it a step at a time and trust the timing of my life.  (SISS)  Can you take us through a typical day? From Waking up to going to bed, Can you give us a play by play of a typical day for you?  (Anastasia Douglas)  I wake up about 30 minutes before class. I pray. I shower and get ready for the day. I skip breakfast (because I prefer an extra 15 minutes of sleep). I rush to class (This happens everyday but I refuse to wake up earlier). I go home and relax. I cook sometimes. I catch up on my favorite shows. I complete assignments. I pray and meditate and then I go to sleep. On special days, I may have ice cream or go to the cinema with friends.  (SISS)  What is your favorite book and/or the latest one you’ve read?  (Anastasia Douglas)  My absolute favorite: The Harry Potter series!!!!!  The latest one: The Guilty by David Baldacci(SISS)  What would be a good theme song for your life?  (Anastasia Douglas)  “Legend” by Chronixx  (SISS)  When do you feel the sexiest?  (Anastasia Douglas)  I feel sexiest when I wash and flat iron my hair and shave my legs 😀 😀 😀 (SISS)  Is there someone on social media that inspires you and is a great follow?  (Anastasia Douglas)  Jay Shetty  (SISS)  What does Smart is so Sexy mean to you?  (Anastasia Douglas)  Smart is so Sexy means breaking stereotypes. A woman can be smart and sexy. Possessing one trait does not mean the lack of another. Women can do it all! It also means that a woman is so much more than her outer beauty, that her ability to navigate through life’s toughest moments is something that ought to be celebrated and valued. And finally, that your ability to effect positive changes in life whether its your personal life or professional life really all boils down to what’s on the inside rather than what you possess physically. And that is sexy!  (SISS)  Thank you so much Anastasia you are awesome!
