Meet Ira Getman - I offer services as model for fashion show, magazines, catalogues, promotion, fittings and TV commercials. Although I live in Germany, I work internationally. I am frequently working in UK, Netherlands, Belgium, USA, Russia, Germany and other countries. Besides my work as model, I am also the singer of the metal band Sariola and tour the countries of Europe frequently. For now I am located in Duisburg,  Nordrhine - Westphalia in Germany. I am moving soon, so who knows where I will be located in 6 months or in a year. (SISS)  What was one of the hardest things that you had to go through? What advice would you give someone going through the same struggle?  (Ira Getman)  I’ve learned one thing: nothing can be hard enough to break me. The negative periods and struggles aren’t forever, they will pass. Just follow your dreams, find a way for your dreams to come true and take all the important opportunities the world gives you. The most important thing in the life is, do not lose yourself and stay strong and have an independent personality. And always tell your dearest that they mean something to you. The life is to short to not tell it.  (SISS)  What are you most proud of?  (Ira Getman)  I am proud of my family and what I am doing. But I hope my biggest goals awaits me ahead.  (SISS)  How dedicated are you to fitness?  What is your fitness goal?  On your body, what is your favorite body part and what is your least favorite?  (Ira Getman)  I am not a typical fitness girl, although I have good proportions. As I said, I am working as a plus size model. Yes, I do sport, but not regularly. I have my anti-sport phases, but at least I realized it’s impossible to live healthy without any physical workout nowadays. We live in a crazy time with too many junk food. We just have to regulate our life style. I love and always loved my whole body,  I love myself how I am. I am proud of my genes, my height, my proportions. I am glad I don’t have to do any beauty operation or any other corrective to be happy. But who knows what will happen in 10 or 20 years. I never say never. It’s easy to care about your body in your 20’s or 30’s. So my goal is to prepare myself for a healthy life for the future.  (SISS)  Singing or modeling what makes you the happiest and why?  (Ira Getman)  I feel a little bit more like rock star than a model. Both activities make me happy and proud of myself. As a model you work with many people, do castings, photo shootings, catwalks, fittings, meet customers. But your activity as model on a catwalk is short. You are a part of the show or photo shoot, not the highlight. You are just a mannequin, nobody is interested in your personality. You should just do your job perfect, the clothes should look fit on you. As musician you are the star. You share your energy with many people. You rule the show. You are on the stage directly in the middle and get the whole attention. The people come to the concerts to meet especially me and listen to my songs. On the stage I am the front woman and personality.  (SISS)  How do you deal with disappointment?  (Ira Getman)  It’s always hard for me, but now I can handle it better. As a model you work hard, trying to get a job and often you get a negative answer. It doesn’t hurt. The model business is always on move and changes every day. Sometimes a “no“ yesterday could be a “yes“ tomorrow.  I still can’t handle a personal disappointment. I expect from people the same attitude I give them, returned back to me. My expectations often are unreasonable and I am getting disappointed. This point don’t make me a misanthrope. I still like the mankind and still trust the people. My people always stay by my side.  (SISS)  In 2017 what was your biggest win and your biggest loss?  (Ira Getman)  2017 wasn’t an easy year for me. I had few important model deals, travelled a lot, have met interesting people. I had a new family member, my very first pet ever, a baby cat named Samoth. I couldn’t say I‘ve lost something in 2017.  I just became more experienced. (SISS)  What do you love the most about modeling and what is the hardest to deal with?  (Ira Getman)  What I love the most in modeling is traveling. I am lucky I have the chance to work internationally, I visited many countries, met many great people. The hardest deal is to get a job, besides the agency. I work with a few of them, but I’m still allowed to find the jobs by myself. Another hard thing is castings. Either you are fit for a job or not. No another option.  (SISS)  Can you tell us four things people don’t know about you?  (Ira Getman)  I am an open person, so my fans and followers are familiar with the facts about me, but I‘ll try.  Sometimes I am falling out of reality while someone is talking to me. I have zero tattoos and no piercings and don’t wish to have any ( as a metalhead this is almost impossible). I would love to know all secrets of the history and the reason of the transcendence., f.e. what exactly happened at the Djatlov‘s pass or who exactly killed Kennedy, are we alone in the world or how many galaxy’s are inhabited.  In my teens time I was obsessed with the ancient Egypt’s culture. I could read hieroglyphs, knew every god of every rapid and knew all Pharaohs of all dynasties and other important information. A successful modern woman can choose what to do in her life and choose her own way how to manage it. I wish every woman in the world could have this opportunity being sexy, successful and independent.  (SISS)  Who was the most influential person in your life and why?  (Ira Getman)  I don’t like to be influenced by someone. My family is important to me and I appreciate their care and advices. But It's my life and only me could be the best inspiration or give myself the best advice I need. The talents and inner feeling can help to get the best result. But only if you are strong enough to not follow, but to lead. (SISS)  Where were you five years ago? What advice would you tell your five years younger self?  (Ira Getman)  I’ve got my master degree in philosophy and got consciously pregnant. I started to do the modeling professionally and traveled a lot. I did everything right. Everything that ever happened to me had its good reason to become better or successful. I don't regret anything, I couldn’t manage the things better as I already did. Everything goes like it should go. I just hope in at least five years I can reach all the goals I set today. I am working on it.  (SISS)  Can you take us through a typical day? From Waking up to going to bed, Can you give us a play by play of a typical day for you?  (Ira Getman)  If I am home, I am waking up, get myself ready, wake my daughter and prepare her to go out. Then I am bringing her to the kindergarten. We don't need to drive it's almost around the corner so we walk about 5 Minutes. I am going back home. Cook my breakfast. Then during the breakfast, I am checking my social media and mails. Then I am playing bass and sing in my home studio. Preparing myself for the shows. I do management for myself and the band. Sometimes I do a sport and cook lunch and dinner. If I am booked, mostly I am away at early morning or a day before. It depends if I am working in Germany or outside the country. Then, of course, I am on set at morning and work the whole day, but no matter if I am in London or Paris, I always go home right after the work. If I am on tour with my band Sariola, we are mostly on the road, then arrive a location, do the sound check, sometimes is a photo shoot or an interview in between. And at last it’s the showtime. (SISS)  What is your favorite meal?  (Ira Getman)  I can call myself a foodie for sure. I like the Mediterranean, American, Russian and West European cuisine. I could enjoy a steak or fish with potatoes and vegetables. I love the seafood so much. But the best food for me is my mom’s food! I visited many restaurants or places with the great cuisine in my whole life, but nowhere is approximately perfect food like by my mom. I can call myself a big fan of the restaurant ”Mama” ! (SISS) What is your favorite book and/or the latest one you’ve read?  (Ira Getman)  I like many books. My favorites are: A.Tolstoi- The silver knight. J. R. Tolkien- ”Hobbit”. J.K. Rowling - ”Harry Potter” ( especially the Half-blood Prince) L. Tolstoi- ”Peace and war” and ”A Confession” Prus- ”Pharaoh”. The tales of the brothers Grimm. Homer- “Iliad”, “Odyssey” Plato- “The State” The latest book I ever read and still read ( a while) it is J. Goldstein- How to get your own manager. (SISS) What is your favorite song?  (Ira Getman)  My favorite all time songs are Windir- Martyrium and Emperor - Ye entrancemperium  (SISS)  When do you feel the sexiest?  (Ira Getman)  I feel myself the sexiest when I am ready to go out or before the showtime. Actually, the sexiness is in your mind. Although I am able to feel myself sexy wearing my favorite cozy tiger pajama without any make up.  (SISS)  Can you name someone on social media that inspires you and is a great follow?  (Ira Getman)  I follow few of my favorite metal bands and musicians, few model events and fashion labels I wear or work with.  (SISS)  What does Smart is so Sexy mean to you?  (Ira Getman)  I adore the women who feels good, that knows what they want and how to get it. Sexuality for me is an attitude, confidence, self-love, positivity. Smart is so Sexy means to me, natural wisdom, creativity, and intelligence.
