Meet HT Physique - My name is Heather, owner and Master Trainer of HT Physique Fitness: a fitness company that emphasizes fitness as a lifestyle, not a resolution. I am a NASM certified personal trainer with a ten year background in Cechetti style of ballet, a ballet genre focused on proper anatomical alignment and posture. (HT Physique) I'm originally from Denver CO and reside now in beautiful Los Angeles. (SISS) What was one of the hardest things that you had to go through? What advice would you give someone going through the same struggle? (HT Physique) This question is super deep! haha I would say the hardest thing I've ever had to do was change my outlook on life. I used to be a 'glass half empty' type of person. Then I reached a point where I did not want to just let life pass me by. I forced myself out of a rut by changing the people around me and thinking more positively. My advice is that when you're in a rut, especially if the rut has lasted your entire life, there's still a way to turn it around. Look for the light, the knowledge, the curiosity and you'll find your way out. (SISS) You are dedicated to fitness, a personal trainer. #SISS Tell us more, who is @HT_Physique and what are you most proud of? (HT Physique) Also another toughy! HT Physique is just the outgoing, high energy, version of me. HT are my initials and Physique embodies what 'HT' is all about. Physique essentially refers to the health and fitness journey I'm on that I'm sharing with you all! I'm most proud of my baby, Body Blast Bootcamp! I decided one day I was going to create a bootcamp. It started out as two #htsessionz per month. Now It's every single week and I still can't believe it. I LOVE IT. I get to talk loud, instruct, sing, make jokes AND give top notch instruction while keeping the class moving! (SISS) One year from now what do you hope to have accomplished (business or personal)? (HT Physique) In one year? Wow. I want too much to happen in the upcoming year. (SISS) How dedicated are you to fitness? What is your fitness goal? On your body, what is your favorite body part and what is your least favorite? (HT Physique) I love fitness so much it’s become a part of my life. I would not be able to go 7 days without getting active in some way, shape, or form. If I’m not getting active, I get restless and feel lethargic. Overall my fitness goal is very simple: always progress. Since I’ve started this health and fitness journey, the goal has never been to “get abs” or lose 20 lbs. The goal has always been to improve the way I look AND feel, which doesn’t necessarily come from seeing abs or losing any LBS! What’s my favorite part of my body? I honestly love my back. I find the back to be a very sexy part of a man or woman, and I’m proud of the work I’ve put into mine. My least favorite part of my body? I wouldn’t say I have a least favorite part…anymore. I’ve made progress that makes me happy and content with my body. (SISS) What makes you the happiest? What is fun for you? (HT Physique) What makes me the happiest? I love getting out and about. Experiencing new things and taking in nature. I love having in depth conversations with people and picking their brain. I love talking about health and fitness with others not only to spread knowledge and ways of thinking, but to absorb other pieces of knowledge and fitness tips. (SISS) How do you deal with disappointment? How do you Keep Going? (HT Physique) Dealing with disappointment is tough and it’s something I’ve struggled with over the last couple years. Three years ago, disappointment would have stopped by forward momentum. It was would made me retract and give up. Now, disappointment forces me to think about things in a different light. Instead of, I tried this, it didn’t work, let’s move on…..it’s more like, I tried to get do this, it didn’t work, HOW ELSE can I attempt to achieve the same goal? It’s a complete mind shift, and I keep going by having those check ins with myself. Am I happy? Am I satisfied? Do I want more? Yes. I’m happy. No, I’m not satisfied. Yes, I want more. And then I think to myself, How am I going to get more? (SISS) What is your superpower? (HT Physique) My superpower? Although I’m loud and outgoing a lot of times, I’m also the queen of awkward encounters. Sometimes I don’t know what to say, how to act, and I overthink things. This often leads to some really awkward pauses and eye glances, BUT I’ve learn to live with it and own it. It’s part of me, HT Physique, and all the quirkiness that is me. (SISS) What is your weakness and what do you do to overcome it? (HT Physique) My weakness is that sometimes I miss out on some opportunities because I’m afraid of the outcome and I simply don’t act. I overcome this, by forcing myself out of my comfort zone and acting on those thoughts or opinions when they arise, as opposed to REACTING to those thoughts or opinions too late. (SISS) Can you tell us four things people don’t know about you? (HT Physique) I'm a certified scuba diver. I love Law and Order: SVU, but have had to stop watching it because I was freaking myself out every time I stepped out of the house! I’m a Pisces. Cookies are my weakness! (SISS) Can you tell us where else can our readers follow your daily inspiration? (HT Physique) IG is where why I do daily updates. My story is filled with #HTIPZ, practical health and fitness tips. My timeline is made of daily life and fitness motivation as well as videos of various #HTCIRCUITZ, workout exercises, that you can put into your workout routine, either at home or at the gym. (HT Physique) I’m most passionate about fitness and helping people reach their fitness goals by giving them a solid foundation. I love seeing people start and progress through their fitness journey. The exploration that an individual goes through when on this journey is unreal. The changes down the line are so much more then physical, but often mental. (SISS) Who was the most influential person in your life and why? (HT Physique) I'm sure you get this answer a lot...my mom is definitely the most influential person in my life. I've started noticing this more and more as the goes by. My mom has not only pushed me to be a better person but guided me and supported me throughout it all. Thank you. (SISS) Where were you five years ago? What advice would you tell your five years younger self? (HT Physique) Five years ago, I was a year deep in my first full time job. I’d tell myself that the days won’t get shorter, but the reward will be greater, and everything will work out. (SISS) Can you take us through a typical day? From Waking up to going to bed, Can you give us a play by play of a typical day for you? (HT Physique) Haha. A typical day? Well my alarm usually goes off around 7:30am and I immediately reach for my water bottle. I tell Google to play UpFirst, a 10 min run down of the US news. I usually put on some coffee and then start getting ready for the day. I have a day job that allows me to make my own schedule, so I'm able to take my time and warm up to the day. After finishing my hair and makeup, I grab my coffee and sit down to do some computer work. I break my fast at 9:30am with infamous HT Crunk Scramble, and then follow it up with a protein shake and the day's vitamins! Then I head out the door and get the day started! I finish up my day with a gym session and food gainz! (SISS) What is your favorite meal? What is your favorite book and/or the latest one you’ve read? What is your favorite song? (HT Physique) Homemade ground turkey tacos because it's quick, basic, and so flavorful!! The Millionaire booklet by Grant Cardone...soaking up knowledge so that I too, can be a millionaire! My favorite song? That's a hard one! Let’s say I’m torn between two greats: Beyonce and Ariana Grande. (SISS) When do you feel the sexiest? (HT Physique) I feel the sexiest in the middle of my workout, when I'm sweating, my heart is pumping, and my muscles are working. To literally FEEL my muscles working is so amazing to me. I love getting outside of my head and thinking of my body as an anatomy chart and the interactions between the bones, tendons, ligaments, and muscles. (SISS) Is there someone on social media that inspires you and is a great follow? (HT Physique) @BuffBunny- she's small and mighty, and owns her own athletic clothing line. She's strong, confident, and real, and of course, she loves fitness. (SISS) What does Smart is so Sexy mean to you? (HT Physique) Smart is SO Sexy means to me more then just the physical appearance of a woman, but her inner sexiness. Inner sexiness is a culmination of many factors: education, literacy, loyalty, honesty, integrity, trustworthiness, and of course self worth.
